BARDO Sound Bath Meditation with Erik Lawrence at HiFi Loft.

Let Psychedelic Sangha guide you through the BARDO in one of Brooklyn’s finest hi-fi audio environments.

"Bardo" is an intermediate state of existence when one's consciousness is untethered from the body and free to create its own reality—like that of a dream. The Bardo Thodol "Liberation Through Hearing During the Bardo State" (otherwise known as The Tibetan Book of the Dead) is a meditator's guide for navigating the dreamlike world of the Bardo, and achieving spiritual insight.

The evening will feature guided meditation by Psychedelic Sangha and a 60-minute sound bath performed by Erik Lawrence and centered around tone and vibration, deep listening, empathic response.

After the sound bath, participants will be encouraged to stay for an informal Seeker Salon, where we will discuss music, spirituality and psychedelics while listening to a curated selection of LPs on the Hi-Fi Loft sound system.

About Erik:
Erik is a certified sound and vibrational healer, as well as 2-time Grammy Award winning musician as a founding member of the Levon Helm Band. He has played with Bob Dylan, Mavis Staples, Buddy Miles, Aretha Franklin, Elvis Costello, Allen Toussaint, Dr John, Wilco and others. As a sound healer, Erik works with tuning forks, Tibetan singing bowls, vocal toning, humming, and Medicine songs.

Erik’s work as a certified sound and vibrational healer is based on study with many of the top sound and vibrational healers in America, several years of empathic work performing sound bath, kirtan and music guided meditation. Erik has applied his empathic, compassionate work to a wide range of clients needs, with both physical and emotional concerns, including stress, grief, fear, managing life issues and crisis, cancer care, recovery from pain, surgery, addiction and more.

HiFi Loft is an audio showroom for listening parties and an intimate, independently-run venue for live music events, all housed in a singular space within a truly singular city.
