This month, we are thrilled to hear from we are thrilled to hear from Forrest McGarvey, a San Francisco-based artist and writer whose recent work combines historical iconography with images from television, film, and video game to create still-life portraits of his identity, the Pacific, and the technologized moment, while questioning performativity and agency within our public and private selves; and Tanya Zimbardo, a San-Francisco based curator who organizes time-based media art exhibitions at SFMOMA and for nonprofits arts organizations.
