Coaxial Arts is honored to welcome the legendary Chicago-based experimental project Illusion Of Safety. Established in 1983 under the guidance of leader Dan Burke, IOS has released countless cassettes, records, and CD's over the past four decades, traversing all angles of the noise underground, from industrial to drone to musique concrete to stark minimalism. Past members have included Jim O'Rourke and Thymee Jones (Cheer-Accident), and a 10-cassette box set focusing on their rare cassette work from the 80's was released this past November.

Joining IOS will be pillar of the Bay Area's experimental underground and Burke's frequent collaborator Thomas Dimuzio, Oakland artist Andy Way's solo industrial venture Thoabath, local legend Hive Mind, and power duo Rogue Squares (Elaine Carey and Carlos Giffoni).
