INDIE GAME IN CHINA 独行 is a documentary film that followed the stories of four independent game developers in China after published their beloved titles. They all once dedicated to making games they love, but their experiences vary. Some teams were disbanded or reorganized; some bankrupted or withdrew from the public; others made a fortune, or achieved hilarious comeback. The film interviewed a few award winning game developers or studios. The stories peek into the living conditions of a larger group of young creatives making indie games in China.
The screening event will introduce to us this movie portrait of the contemporary Chinese indie game industry, followed by a Q&A section with producer Tiexin Liang.
