Are you engaged? Feet locked into the pedals, shorts hiked up your legs, mask on snug? Coffee hot, computer freshly powered, to-do lists and coloured pens handy? Are you here with us?
Are you sleepy? Living in nap time, cry time, snack time? Numbed out, bummed out, wearing last week’s clothes, eating yesterday’s leftovers? Are you here with us?
Bricks & Glitter is launching again this year, in spite of everything that’s going on. We miss you all, and we believe that, just as the festival has been a productive meeting place in the past, so again can Bricks & Glitter help us work together to practice world-building. There’s a variety of different platforms and opportunities for engagement. Your input is required and deeply appreciated.
Some prompts are included below for your consideration and reflection.

Key questions we’re considering in this series are~~~~~
~What kind of queer space are you craving right now?
~What space do you want Bricks and Glitter to facilitate?
~What do you associate Bricks and Glitter with?
~What art inspires you right now?
~What social movements inspire you right now?
~How do you want Bricks and Glitter to respond to the current struggles in our communities, both locally and globally?
~How can Bricks and Glitter make your life better? Your community’s life?
~If cost was not an issue, what event would you want to host, or would want Bricks and Glitter to host?
~What do you think is missing right now in larger LGBTQ2S institutions? How do you want Bricks and Glitter to respond to these gaps, as a small independently run grassroots collective?
~What do you think is working well right now in the LGBTQ2S community? How do you want Bricks and Glitter to support and engage with that?
~What tech or digital platforms would you want to congregate on?
~~~~~We'd like to say a big thanks to Toronto Arts Council for supporting the festival this year and making these visioning sessions possible~~~~~
