Women's Rosh Chodesh Tammuz

$11.90 (includes all fees)

Hello, you are invited to a Women's Gathering for Rosh Chodesh Tammuz

>To learn Torah together
>To enjoy each other's company and
>To mark our new moon calendar and this time of collective mourning on the Jewish calendar and in present day.

On the 17th of Tammuz, Jewish people traditionally fast in commemoration of a break in the walls of the temple in Jerusalem. This begins a 3 week mourning period leading up to tisha b'av on the calendar. In the past 3 months, covd19 broke our walls, over 100,000 people passed away, and our country is examining race and equality in unprecedented ways.

In our Rosh Chodesh gathering, we will create sacred space to study Jewish texts together, to say Kaddish, and for interactive Discussion. The topic will focus on individual and communal grief and on lifting one another up, while weaving in ritual and song.

The program is on zoom 8:00pm-9:00pm. This program is for Jewish women only--multi-racial, inter-generational, and from diverse Jewish journeys. We are enriched by one another, and all part of One.

Facilitator is Aviva Perlo, MSW, in Philadelphia. Aviva has over 20 years experience as a social innovator, writer, artist, and public speaker. This teaching is dedicated to the memory of Aviva's sister and brother-n-love on their yartzeit. There is no cost however you must sign up for your Free Ticket to receive the zoom.

Suggested donation will benefit Coping Cafe- see link below for a taste of Coping Cafe- and National Council of Jewish Women's advocacy for covd19 assistance, fair elections, combating domestic abuse, and promoting women's health.
