Since their first encounter seeing each other play at a festival over a decade ago, the musicians Lucrecia Dalt and Aaron Dilloway have become close friends.
They’ve recorded an album together, Lucy & Aaron (Hanson Records, 2021), toured together, and shared intense discussions about art, music, and performance. They’ve made field recordings in the Colombian rainforest. They’ve given each other presents for Christmas.
On November 1, Lucrecia is playing Lincoln Center as part of the Unsound New York Festival, on the occasion of her new record, A Danger to Ourselves (RVNG Intl).
When asked to host an evening at GPS that would be for or with another musician, she suggested inviting Aaron.
This is the first time Lucrecia and Aaron have performed live together.
Thank you to Andy Battaglia, Mat Schulz, Gosia Plysa, and Matt Werth. This is co-presented with Unsound New York and made possible with the friendly support of the Ernst von Siemens Music Foundation.
