J.T. Gladysz has studied music formally and informally for most of his life. Initially based in Saskatchewan before relocating to the West Coast in 2009, his musical pedigree ranges from singer/songwriter to drumming in rock bands. His years of playing, touring, and releasing records with various groups are clearly reflected in his current output. In 2020, Gladysz expanded his practice to include more experimental and electronic realms of composition. Taking a minimalist approach to production and performance, Gladysz works with field recordings, a modular synth, DSP and feedback. Together, these elements create imaginary worlds that drift between blurred natural soundscapes and the dissonant rumbles of industrial machinery, with hypnotic melodies woven throughout. https://jtgladysz.bandcamp.com/track/mind-touching
