ABOUT THE WORKSHOP:
What happens when you’re the victim of deep-faking? Do you know who’s watching you scroll? Who profits when you click “Accept”? Who holds your face in their cloud after you’ve forgotten the upload?
In the algorithmic age, your data isn’t just code. It’s a reflection. A mirror to your digital rhythms, your voice, your breath and even your desires. It is the digital skin you live in day in and day out. And in the wrong hands, it becomes fuel for surveillance, extraction, and synthetic manipulation.
This workshop gives you concrete tools, frameworks, and protective practices so you can shield your digital body from deepfakes, block data brokers from exploiting your work, spot hidden consent traps in everyday platforms, and build defenses against exposure, targeting, and doxxing.
☆ REQUIREMENTS: Laptop or Smart phone
ABOUT THE TEACHING ARTIST:
Ana Roman (aka Skulptor) is a New York–based producer, sound activist, and creative technologist conjuring post-human intimacy through sound, code, and live performance. Blending algorithmic systems with erotic intelligence, her work reclaims machine space as a site of desire, resistance, and ritual power.
Commissioned by Google Creator’s Lab (How to Build a Healing Machine) and acclaimed for Temporal Tide which transformed UN data into immersive sonic griefwork, Roman’s performances merge GAN-generated visuals, AI-driven sound, and DJ exorcisms to disrupt techno-capitalist affect. Her current work reimagines techno as a spiritual battleground — reclaiming the dancefloor as a ritual zone for transformation, feral memory, and future myth.
