Her Broom Herb Room

Free

Her broom
Herb room
Shape a word, sharpen a word -
For hopes, wishes, and dreams.

Brooms are made for flying,
Like seeds through air -
Rooted in bloom,
Wishing you well.

Herbs have long served as anchors for wishes bound to rituals, whispers, and healing hands. They blur the line between medicine and magic, between what soothes the body and what stirs the soul.
The history of wishes is deeply entwined with human imagination, ritual, and language. To wish is an act of hope and survival. Across ages and cultures, we have wished on wells, on stars, on smoke, on screens.
The connection between wishes and herbs is both ancient and enduring, rooted in the belief that plants are vessels of desire, carrying intention through root and leaf.
At this event, we will turn to three magical herbs, tied to a wish, and framed through a performative poetry reading. A small act of spell-making, a bloom of breath and word.
