In this 3-hour TouchDesigner workshop, learn how to design real-time video effects you can use in performances, installations, and visual sketches.

We'll start with a basic overview and introduction to TouchDesigner, focusing on TOPs for image processing and CHOPs for animation and control. You'll get comfortable chaining operators together and working with both generative visuals and video inputs to build a small set of customizable effects.

We'll cover practical ways to organize and save your networks for easy use, and explore a basic VJ-style setup for switching between visual styles. You'll leave feeling comfortable experimenting with TOPs and CHOPS, with a unique set of ready-to-use networks for your own projects.

No prior experience with TouchDesigner required. Bring your laptop!

This event will run from 7:00pm to 10:00pm on Thursday, February 19th at the Active Space in Bushwick. More specific details will be sent after registration.
