Film Loft | NY brings together creatives working to produce, write, direct, shoot, and edit content for the screen. The goal is to share thoughts, ideas and promote collaboration. To that end, our workshops explore the connection between creatives. Whenever possible, we bring complementary artisans into our workshops including actors, directors, and production personnel.

Each quarter Film Loft | NY members participate in 12 weeks worth of workshops.

During each workshop, two (2) members will present their current works-in-progress to receive constructive feedback via the workshop participants. Following the presentations, we discuss each project (discussions are moderated by a Film Loft | NY mentor).

Each week is as much a learning experience for the members giving feedback as it is for those presenting. Workshop participants also announce their weekly goals and asks to the group.

Workshops are an opportunity for our members to check in and help each other stay the course on projects. We also regularly invite speakers from within the industry to hold fireside chats or master classes.

To Apply we ask that you:
Have at least one (1) film or series project you are ACTIVELY working currently or one you will be crowdfunding in the next 6 months.

Be able to make at least 10 of the 12 member workshops. Workshops take place from 6 pm-9 pm weeknights either in person or via video online).

Have an active IMDB / LinkedIn profile, a personal/professional website or a social media page.

Be available for in-person or via video

Membership for the season is $175* (less than $15 p/workshop).
