A Mess of My Own is an experiential food installation by effie bowen and Tess Brown-Lavoie. A Mess of My Own calls to mind the manifold labors that create food and bring it to the table while inviting in reflection, repose, curiosity and play surrounding consumption. Club Sourdough hosts this experiment as we populate the gallery with repurposed waste from food distribution, auditory stimuli including text and song, and various distinct but connection stations that summon solo and communal participations. Come for food, sound, text, chaos, order, and togetherness.
