Ricardo Herz & O Kwarteto perform LIVE at Drom in the East Village, NYC!

Internationally renowned dynamic Brazilian violinist Ricardo Herz presents his music live for the first time in New York City on June, 2020, teaming up with “O Kwarteto”, an all-female string quartet dedicated to the arrangement and performance of popular Brazilian music on strings. After Herz’s recent successful performance and live recording project with acclaimed all-female Cuban string orchestra Camerata Romeu in the summer of 2019, this next performance with the NYC-based O Kwarteto is set to re-imagine his music in an intimate setup backed by a string quartet. The repertoire will include originals by Herz - known for his melting-pot style influenced by folkloric Brazilian rhythms, choro-inspired melodies and a dose of individual compositional character - as well as arrangements by Herz and O Kwarteto of classics from the genres of samba, choro, mpb, forro and more.

The night promises to bring a colorful musical experience to the NYC live music scene. The live music set will include surprise special guests and will seg-way into a DJ party, spinning dance party tunes from Brazil.
