mimixomi, a project by Madison Benton and Omar Jemili, puts a twist on the deconstructed club genre. Using techniques like granular synthesis, they gut club classics into their smallest, most hypnotic parts. The duo's irony-soaked approach to music explores the uncanny valley of queer dance genres like house and ballroom and aims to comment on the hedonism of club culture at large.
