On October 5, 2025, The Plane(s), a solo project by Rebekkah Palov, presents "The Leaf," an enchanting long-duration, three-hour improvisation in octophonic speaker format. "Considering the stereo format as mirror of our left and right ears and its almost subjectivity, octophonic format is a less knowable and experienced outer world. I discovered that this octophonic field needed instability; it needs a sensibility, it needs duration, it needs to track precarious intention, vibrations and atmospheres. And this needs to occur in life—then and there. I can’t really imagine how to engage the field, other than improvisation, to be hunter, tourist and explorer." The performance is an open-ended invitation.

Rebekkah Palov's life in sound includes serving as bass player in metal and garage bands across Washington DC, Olympia WA, and Baltimore MD, and electronic music study with Dr. Jon Welstead. She is a member of Carrier Band (founded by Oliveros, Deutsch & Bode) and NowNet Arts Lab under composer and conductor Sarah Weaver; performance sound-collaborations with Don Metz (Buffalo NY), Siew-Wai Kok (Kuala Lumpur), and Gloria Damijan (Vienna). Palov self-distributes The Plane(s) under The Mind Agency LLC. She was the first archivist of electronic music pioneer Harald Bode’s archive now-housed at ZKM Karlsruhe, DE. Palov is also a video artist.
