What’s in a Photo? Reframing and Reclaiming Image Metadata

$17.18 - $27.74

What does it mean to capture yourself in an array of pixels? What can never be captured?

In this workshop, we’ll explore how our pictorial metadata describes who we are. Workshop participants will learn command line tools to investigate their image metadata, create cyanotypes as a method of slow and embodied image capture, and discuss what traditional metadata leaves out.

Taught by Star (@irawoonline) and Alissa (@art.scraps_)

This workshop will run from 1:00pm to 3:30pm on Saturday, February 7 at the Active Space in Bushwick. More specific details will be sent after registering.
