Paper piles cramping your style?

Shred it!

Shred to your heart’s content at Rhizome DC for an afternoon of paper clay creation and exploration led by Katie Magician. Our paper clay will be made of shredded paper and wheat paste.

Materials provided, but BYOpaper highly encouraged. Items you may consider bringing are an armature to texturize with paper clay such as a glass recyclables, a picture frame, or wood, and materials to build dimension such as cardboard rolls or paper egg cartons.

*returning participants may paint their DRY projects from last workshop (some paint and brushes provided)

glossy magazines
envelopes with plastic window
staples, adhesives, or cardboard
cardstock or poster board
paper that has been drawn on with oil or wax (ex: crayon drawings)
sentimental items, photographs, paintings, US currency, evidence of crime

Stay as little or as long as you like. Come early to allow the project dry time in the oven or in the sun. Projects may be taken home wet or left to firm up at Rhizome overnight. Rhizome is not liable for lost or forgotten projects.
