Dig through Nick and Inessa’s trove of stained glass scraps to design your very own piece! Students will engage with color theory, structural negative space and soldering methods to achieve their visions.

Inessa Illes (@sixwun) is a visual artist practicing in textile, illustration, glass and digital works in Los angeles, Ca. Inessa specializes in designs that prioritize bright patchworks and themes to evoke joy, nostalgia, and a return to childhood. Inspired by the freedom of diy culture, experimental silhouettes, and the practice of self-adornment as a means of artistic expression, Inessa is excited to share the instant gratification that can be found in stained glass art.

Nick Kasunic (@jankbabyblue) is a stained glasser, ceramicist and writer living in California and Pennsylvania. Suspiciously self-indulgent and ascetic in his creations, he is committed to figuring out how the grotesque, the corny, the cringe, the jank, and performed innocence and self-satire convene with the sublime, the epiphanic, the beloved, and the devastating humility and teary-eyed sincerity of love. He loves a vessel that pours well, or glugs, and works that inspire a moment of bewildered stupor. Nick is so excited to get excited about your glasswork.
