Join us for a very special November BARDO BATH featuring the debut of the ambient-psychedelic trio of Tony Leone (percussion), Jeff Hill (bass) and Scott Metzger (guitar). We'll be gathering in the holy countercultural haven of Greenwich Village for a session of spiritual cleansing, recharging during these times of crisis via a lysergic laser beam to the psychedelic source of NYC freak culture, hosted in the grand sanctuary of NYC's Judson Memorial Church.
// This event will be held in a socially distanced manner, masks will be required for all attendees, and attendance limited to 20 participants //
"Bardo" is an intermediate state of existence when one's consciousness is untethered from the body and free to create its own reality—like that of a dream. The Bardo Thodol "Liberation Through Hearing During the Bardo State" (otherwise known as The Tibetan Book of the Dead) is a meditator's guide for navigating the dreamlike world of the Bardo, and achieving spiritual insight.
The evening will feature guided meditation and a 60-minute live musical performance centered around tone and vibration, deep listening and empathic response.
Tony Leone, Jeff Hill and Scott Metzger are bearers of the eternal flame of psychedelic rock 'n' roll, having performed with the Chris Robinson Brotherhood, Little Feet, Ollabelle, Phil Lesh, Marco Benevento, Joe Russo's Almost Dead and many, many other.
