Community Power Mapping

How do we cooperatively undermine the capitalist heteropatriarchy? Where are strategic locations in our neighbourhoods and cities to expose the underbelly of a deeply oppressive society? And, where do we have space to build worlds anew?
This workshop brings people together as co-conspirators in a plot to overthrow dominant actors through understanding the world around us. By working together, we will build cognitive maps and pinpoint sites of hegemonic power and means for us to disrupt and upend. The goal for this workshop is to empower queer and trans (especially queer and trans bipoc) in Tkaronto to see space differently and build strategies for direct action with community.
