A Conversation with Kit Galloway

$11.90 (includes all fees)

The Electronic Cafe for Poetic Computation is inspired by Kit Galloway and Sherrie Rabinowitz’s Electronic Cafe ‘84, a project that transformed informal community venues into a networked cultural organization. Join us on Thursday August 10, 7-8:30pm for an artist talk by Kit Galloway, followed by a conversation between the artist and SFPC Co-Director Celine Wong Katzman.

*About the Electronic Cafe '84*
Telecommunications artists Kit Galloway and Sherrie Rabinowitz like to think of themselves as "instigators," and they instigated themselves up a storm during the Summer Olympics in Los Angeles. They set up their Electronic Cafe project with money from the Los Angeles Museum of Contemporary Art at five ethnic restaurants in Los Angeles, with the idea of reflecting the cultural diversity of both the city and the Olympic Games contained therein.
