RSVP FOR CITY’S THE FINAL COMMUNITY CONSULTATION MEETING: http://bit.ly/register-315spadina
The City of Toronto is hosting the final public community consultation for the proposed 13 storey development at 315-325 Spadina. Despite concerns Friends of Chinatown Toronto and other Chinatown community members have raised about continuing with this process during a pandemic, which has adversely affected Chinatown especially, this “community consultation” is to take place over a web conferencing platform.
Participation in this format is very limited: you can only comment when called upon by the City’s moderators. If you are joining via phone, you will only be able to listen in. Lastly, only the developers and City officials will be given screentime. Members of the community and the public will be unseen.
This is why FOCT will be hosting a Zoom Room simultaneous to the City’s official consultation, where you can see, talk and engage fellow concerned members of the community. You will be able to watch and participate both in the City’s consultation as well as chat openly in FOCT’s Zoom Room. We will also relay our collective comments and concerns not only in the community consultation, but also to City officials in email and phone zaps.
Thank you for continually showing up in solidarity with Chinatown. There is power in numbers and community.
This event is free to attend. Any PWYC donations will go towards FOCT and its community organizing.
