Class Title: Anatomy of a Fragrance

During our third session of Movement Research “Anatomy of a Fragrance”, we will focus on perfume as both a sensory experience and a conceptual framework. We'll share personal fragrances, discuss the memories and sensations they evoke, and learn about the composition of perfume and about olfactory classification. Through dance and movement we will abstract this taxonomy and play with choreographing a perfume virtually through zoom. The class will conclude with a discussion and the opportunity to share any thoughts about the experience.

Developed in collaboration with artist and dancer, Isabel Legate, the main focus of the Movement Research series will be to investigate dance and movement based forms. This series will be about tuning into the joy and pleasure of moving your body.

No dance experience necessary!
