A Dinner Party with The Bright Light Social Hour

The Wild Honey Pie is beyond excited to announce that we are expanding our dinner party concerts to Austin! Join us on Wednesday, June 12 at Eden East for three courses of deliciously fresh farm-to-table food followed by an intimate musical performance by indie rock band The Bright Light Social Hour. There will also be select complimentary drinks available throughout the evening. We’ll dine al fresco style at community tables shaded by a great Elm tree, then listen to the band Glide Magazine called “groundbreaking” play a stripped set under the stars.
The Bright Light Social Hour’s third record, Jude Vol. 1, is a beautiful, evocative practice in the way one deals with grief. After the tragic passing of their manager and bassist’s brother, Alex, in 2015, the band was left with the question: how are you supposed to put the pieces of your life back together after you lose someone? The album, called Jude after Alex’s middle name, seeks to answer that question.
Catch the band at Eden East to see for yourself how beautiful their songs are. Want a preview? Click here to watch one of their recent music videos.

“Curtis Roush (guitar/vocals) Jack O’Brien (bass/vocals), Joseph Mirasole (drums) and Edward Brailiff (keys/effects/vocals) are genuinely kind humans who make music that matters.” — Glide Magazine
“The new release from Austin’s indie rock powerhouse is the band’s most lyrically explicit, personal and moving work to date.” — Austin360
