Coaxial Arts is excited to welcome back legendary Chicago experimentalist Daniel Burke, founder and sole constant of the prolific Illusion Of Safety. Since the 1980's, Burke and IOS have been at the forefront of the early American industrial and noise scene; over the following decades IOS has touched upon everything from rhythmic chaos to foreboding sound collage to unnerving minimalism, with a rotating membership that has in the past included such luminaries as Jim O'Rourke and Thymme Jones (Cheer-Accident).

Over two nights, Burke will be joined by an all-star roster of some of the finest names in California noise and experimental sound, including a special quartet iteration of IOS performing as Illusions Of Safety.

The first night will kick off with Burke's solo venture Soundoferror, plus Bay Area trailblazer Thomas Dimuzio, the cryptic electronic doom of Oakland's Thoabath, the incomparable Twig Harper, and Los Angeles noise mainstay Rust Worship.

The second night will close out with a special quartet iteration of IOS called Illusions Of Safety, which will find Burke joined by longtime collaborator Thomas Dimuzio, Thoabath's Andy Way, and noise legend John Wiese. Local support will include renowned LAFMS enterprise Dinosaurs With Horns, iconic noise pioneers The Haters, modular marvel Laura Shumate, and a rare appearance from California industrial pioneers Allegory Chapel Ltd.
